Honors College Thesis| Robert D. Clark Honors College

In order to graduate from the honors college at the University of Oregon, I was required to write and defend a thesis. My thesis researched how traveling abroad can positively benefit someone's mental and physical health. I passed my defense with honors. In case you do not want to read the whole 50 pages, here is an excerpt of what I did and what I found.

I created and executed a campaign.

KLCC Brewfest Campaign

In my last Public Relations class, my team was asked to create an entire campaign for our client, KLCC radio. Our goal was to create a plan that would help KLCC increase attendance for their biggest event, Brewfest. On top of creating the PR plan for KLCC, I was personally hired to implement what we had presented to KLCC over the following three months leading up to their event. The photo to the left is one of the many posts and photos that I took before, during, and after KLCC's Brewfest. I updated their Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter at least every other day with information about the event. Here is a link to KLCC's Instagram page so you can see some of what I have done. I created a story called "KLCC Brewfest" that has all of the content I shared on their story. All posts related to Brewfest were created by me.

Artistic Resume | Looking At My Talents in a Different Way

Whenever we create or edit our resumes, there are multitudes of things that we want to add that do not necessarily go on a resume. Because of this, I decided to create an artistic resume to show off and highlight a lot of my PR related skills, the quality of my research, and other accolades I possess that may not show up on a generic resume.

In a world full of social media, I find myself right in the middle.

Social Media | UO Student Recreation Center

On top of being a personal trainer at the University of Oregon Student Recreation Center, I also help with the social media content on our UO Rec Fitness Instagram page. We post #trainertiptuesday posts every week, and this was one I was a part of.

CSR Memo | Fabletics

In a strategic public relations communication class, I created a memo for Fabletics (an athleisure brand),  to become more involved in corporate social responsibility within their community. For a quick explanation of what I did, click here

I can create empathy.

Letter of Appeal | Make-A-Wish Foundation

I was asked to write a letter of appeal for my  sorority, Chi Omega, in order to help receive money from possible donors to give to Make-A-Wish Foundation Oregon, our philanthropy. I created empathy by writing about a specific Make A Wish Oregon kid named Scott and showed the importance of  any contribution to Make A Wish. For a quick explanation of what I did, click here.

"What is art?" Video

In my philosophy of communication course, I created a video highlighting the work of three different artists throughout the city of Eugene, showing how art is so broad and the future of art is only growing stronger.

News Release | Orange Theory Fitness

I wrote a news release for Orange Theory Fitness in Phoenix, Arizona about the work that they do with Gigi's Playhouse, a center for people with Down syndrome. A close family friend, Lexi, (the beautiful blonde girl in the photo), is a member of Gigi's Playhouse as well as an avid Orange Theory Fitness attendee (as her mom owns the OTF locations in Phoenix). I truly enjoy writing about things that are meaningful or that could truly help a lot of people, and I felt like this news release was exactly that.
